Review by S. Callaway for Sonic Earz Hearing Aid – As Seen on TV
Rating:
I am an Audiology student writing a thesis on low-cost hearing aids and this was one of the devices I ordered. However, although it is advertised as a hearing aid, it is NOT a hearing aid and could not be used in my test. For reference, it is an Assistive Listening Device (ALD), and a rather poor example of one if I may add. If you are having a bit of trouble hearing and you are not ready for a hearing aid, an ALD is a great investment, however, do yourself a favor and spend a little more on it. I can recommend TV Ears as an example of a good ALD. Sonic Earz lives off people who know little or nothing about the hearing mechanism. Hearing is not like eyesight…it cannot be fixed with a purchase such as this because the hearing mechanism is infinitely more complex than your eyesight.
I was very disappointed with this product and I will do my best to discourage anyone from buying it.
for another good one,
type prestonchao in the search box and it’s the first video on the result list
i have 2 normal hearing aids and love it,,,
i dont like digital hearing aids because of different sound
Unfortunately that was a poorly fit device. Sat high on the ear and the ear grip or retention grip was not seated appropriately in the ear. OBTE?
i wear a conventional hearing aid, this one looks to be a lot more discreet and much more compact
he he he…..She said customers are no longer required…LOL
thts the kind i just got…one for each ear. I’m glad you made this vid…my booklet didnt say what that extra tube was for, I was about to cut it off. now that I put it in place correctly, it looks and feels much better.
Took your time putting it on, didn’t you?
